Book a Concert
Helpful hints
Helpful Information before contacting your booking agent
Determine which date you would be interested in. Check out the artists website or myspace for their latest touring schedule. See if the date you are interested in is available. Also you may want to check when the band will next be around your area and any open dates around that time frame that might work for you. Many times if the band is already in your part of the country that will help you save on travel costs. (If you choose to do an event during a time when the band is not in your part of the country, many times you will have to provide airfare and extra production costs.)
Get an idea of what kind of budget you will have to work with. This will help you when you speak to your booking agent so you can both determine if the band you are interested will be the right fit with the budget you have to work with.
If you choose to have the concert at a venue different from your church home or a venue you work with, check with other local churches or music venues to see if they are available.
After finding a venue, familiarize yourself with the production equipment you have. This will be helpful when you speak to the booking agent so you can determine if your venue can accommodate the band or if additional equipment will need to be provided.
Check around your area for any other concerts or special events that might conflict with your event. You can find this info through local radio stations, bookstores or check online ticketing companies such as itickets.com or ticketmaster.
Before you submit an offer:
Speak with your booking agent about costs and availability for the artist you would like to bring in.
Decide on a final venue where your concert will take place. Make sure you have the venue secured.
Finalize a time you would like the concert to start and the length of the concert.
Determine whether you will be selling tickets at your event or if it will be a free event. Be sure to have ticket prices and capacity of the venue available when you submit the offer.
Determine what you would like the artist to do. Will they be playing a full concert, doing a worship set or presenting a message at your event.
Secure the funds you will need to bring in the artist. You would be financially responsible for the artist’s guarantee as well as any other expenses previously discussed with your booking agent. There is a deposit that will be required once the offer is approved by artist management.
When you are ready to make your offer:
Speak to your Agent to determine how you will submit your offer. You can use the online offer form, you can submit your own offer form (For Festival buyers) or we can email you an offer form.
Once you submit the offer it is considered firm and binding upon approval by artist management. Your booking agent will contact you as soon as they have a response from management.
Please remember that you can not start advertising for your event until you have received confirmation from our office that your date has been approved by management.
Once your offer has been approved by management, you will receive confirmation, contracts will be issued and promo materials will be sent out.
